August 27, 2010 was the day that sophies rejoice. It was the day of excitement and adventure. It was the most awaited trip of the year. I arrived in school at 4:45 am and departed at exactly 5:00 am. Of course, we didn’t forget to pray the holy rosary. We prayed for our safety. After we prayed, we do had the time to bond with my van mates even though we were all sleepy, we still hang out and text while we were on our way to Malaybalay City. We were accompanied by Mrs. Duites.
Our first destination was in PJ 23rd seminary. We took a lot of pictures and posed to the max. Smile here, smile there, we took pictures of the beautiful spots in there because it was once in a lifetime experience. We then went to Carmelite Monastery which was beside the first destination. In there, all of the sophomores prayed simultaneously for our safe trip. We then went to Kaamulan Grounds; it was really wide and beautiful. The next stop was in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, we were welcomed by Atty. Eliseo Libed. In there, he instructed us their obligations and work. The funny thing was our shoes and socks were splashed into the mud in the Kaamulan Grounds. The next destination was in Bukidnon State University (BSU) I was amazed on their facilities and also the students, they welcomed us warmly. When we were leaving the school we all wave to the students that we pass by. We then went to San Isidro College and they were having their culmination of the Buwan ng Wika. They have really nice facilities. We also bade good bye and thank you to the students. Our next stop was in RR Spring Resort, I was like “wow” the place is so beautiful and very hot. We took pictures in every detail of the resort. It will be a long trip going to Waig, so we had jamming inside the van. My van mate Arvydaz who was sitting beside me played music using his phone and Rhoda’s portable speaker. He also played jokes and sang really funny and indeed it was really fun. We arrived in Waig Spring Resort at exactly 12:00 high noon. Everyone was really excited for the pool, they ate their lunch and directly splashed into the pool. What I did in the resort was to take pictures to those who were swimming and tried the hanging bridge. We then took our class picture in the resort. After the resort, we went to Crystal Sugar Milling Company which was located near the resort, we waited really long because we got inside by batch but it was worth it, I learned a lot while waiting to the last batch we used Jhannie’s portable DVD player and watched music videos and a detail from a movie. The next stop was in Central Mindanao University, I was really excited to see CMU because this was my mother’s Alma Mater and she told a lot of stories about CMU, I was really happy to see CMU and it was my first time. On our way to Malaybalay, we stopped Valencia to buy fruits like Rambutan and their favorite…. DURIAN… We didn’t make it to the Transfiguration Chapel because it was already 5:00 pm and the chapel might be close.
It was a very tiring but all worth it trip. The questions that came from the people in there was, “What school is this? Where?” But we met a lot of nice people and learned a lot on this educational tour. I bound for home safe and sound.
